Project Title: Building Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Improvement (FFS #R3GL)

State: Minnesota

Project Description: The Detroit Lakes Wetland Management District in Minnesota received approximately $344,000 in funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to repair infrastructure and increase energy efficiency at the district’s headquarters building. Work has begun on this project with the anticipated completion in December 2012. The majority of the funding is being used to make a new building at the wetland management district’s headquarters more energy efficient by installing a geothermal heating and air conditioning unit. These upgrades will help the district significantly reduce operational costs and use less energy.
